The big "31"

I had the best birthday ever this year! I was able to spend the weekend with my hubby in Park City. Thanks to my in laws for taking Avery for us, so we could enjoy some much needed time alone. We got up there Saturday afternoon, and we made a stop at our favorite restaurant..Bandits! We ate tons of yummy food, and it was so nice to just take our time. After lunch we went to the hotel for a nap..it was heaven. That night we went shopping, ate some more, and just relaxed in our hotel.

On Sunday (my actual birthday) we ventured out to go find a hike. We drove up to Deer Valley, but to our surprise it was closed! We tried finding hikes by googling it on Brett's phone, but we were not having much luck. So we headed back to Park City and decided we were just going to walk around main street. On main there was a tourist shop, so we went in to see if they could help us find some hikes. He told us about the chair lift that you get on right on main street. Brett and I had heard of it before, but had never been.

First we stopped at the Blue Iguana for lunch, and then headed off to the chair lift. The day couldn't have been better for a hike it was perfect weather. We had a great time on the way up the scenery was amazing!!

We decided to hike the way back..I am so glad we did it was beautiful!

We had an amazing weekend, but I was so happy to see Avery! Debbie made my favorite cake and we celebrated the big "31".

More painting

Avery loves painting now and wants to do it all the time! Good thing we still have more home depot projects. This is a white board frame that she painted. I love that she is getting into the stage where she wants to do projects. Its so fun to see her be creative.

South Dakota visit

Ryan and Nicole made a stop in Utah before headed to Peru for vacation. Its always great to see them and catch up. Avery loved her uncle Ryan! He was so cute with her and she wore him out!!

We couldn't let them leave without some family pictures. Trying to get all the siblings together for a picture is not easy! So here is a few of my favorites.

Avery was not excited about getting pictures, but thanks to uncle Ryan she smiled big!! Nicole invited her family over as well. Avery loved Isiah and wouldn't stop following him around. He was so cute and played with her so good. What a great night we sure miss our South Dakota family..

Avery the artist!

We made this birdhouse forever ago at Home depot, but I totally forgot about til now. I got her in an old t-shirt, and she got to work. She LOVED it! she was so into it and was smiling from ear to ear! I found he little creative side. Its so fun to have her at the age where she enjoys projects. She painted for a good hour and that is a miracle for her to sit that long. Now I need to find more painting projects for her. She loves her birdhouse and always wants to show it off.

Frightmares at Lagoon

Lagoon is open on the weekends through Halloween. It was a crazy month in September, but Avery and I found a night to got to Lagoon. She asks about going there everyday and its so sad that they closed on the weekdays. Lagoon is decorated so cute for Halloween, and had such fun stuff for the kids.

First we went to the little corn maze. They had little stops along the way with fun little prizes. Her favorite was the girl dressed up as a fairy and she even put fairy dust on Avery's feet...she was in heaven!

After we went to the trick r treat station. They changed the bumper car station into a little place where you would go from room to room and trick r treat. Their was a pirate station where she got a bandanna and an eyeball sucker. She loved when she saw Cinderella..her face was priceless. The princess gave her a heart ring and a bracelet. We have had so much fun at Lagoon its only open for a couple of weeks..so sad.

Go Copperhills Grizzles!

Me, Kiley & Shauna re lived our high school days! Brett had to work, but we all had a great time at the Copperhills vs. West Jordan game. When we walked in a girl at the alumni table recognized us as being part of the alumni..kinda sad. I thought I looked young enough to blend in with the high school students!!

We ended our night meeting up with Brett at Village Inn. We stayed til 1 eating and most of all having lots of laughs. Such a great night! always nice to spend time with friends.
