Fun times!

She loves this chair at my sister's house. She climbs in and out a million times. I love this picture of her just chillin in the chair. I think I will have to get one of her own for Christmas.

On monday night we went to my sister's for dinner. She loves being over there playing with Evie and Stratton. Stratton had this idea to put the kids on the blanket and then pull them around. Avery loved it! she was going crazy and giggling so hard it was the cutest thing ever. Avery always has so much fun playing with her cousins.

Today I got out this box, and it has been the only thing she has been playing with. If I only knew she was going to have this much fun I would have got it out sooner. I guess I know now what to get Avery besides toys.

Muir family getaway!

September 18th-20th we rented a cabin in Park city for the Muir family getaway. We had a such a great time. So much to write about so I will just give the highlights.

Friday we got there about 4. As one of the first people to arrive we enjoyed hanging out and playing in the game room. Avery loved the arcade she loved pushing all the buttons. Brett and Randy had a great pool game while us girls mingled.

We had a great night first night eating a yummy dinner, and playing games. Their is always tons of laughs with the Muirs. The funny/sad experience that we had that night was giving Avery and Boston a bath. We thought it would be fun to put them in the jetted tub and have fun with the bubbles. I was feeling like it was getting a little too high, so I thought maybe the jets would still work, boy was I wrong. It wasn't quite high enough so the water was squirting in their eyes and mouth. They were both bawling hysterically and were trying to crawl out. Boston cried for a few minutes, but Avery could not calm down. The rest of the time Avery hated the bath, but good news when we got home she still loves her bath, so no worries.

Saturday morning the boys woke up early to go golfing. While they were gone Debbie, Jenn and I spent the morning mingling and watching the kids get into everything! After the boys got home us girls went for a day out. We went to midway to do a little shopping. Midway had the cutest little boutiques. We also went to the cutest little bakery with the most amazing cakes, and treats. The highlight was going to good old family dollar. Us girls got a new set of earrings to show off to the boys. I mean how could you miss them! Before we knew it we had been gone for 4 hours! the time flies when your having a girls day out.

After we got back we headed to the nearest pond. Brandon and Brett were bummed they didn't bring fishing gear, so they made their own fishing pole. We had fun watching them trying to catch something with Brett throwing Doritos in the lake. Just as we were saying these boys aren't going to catch anything they started screaming! They got a salamander and came to show us all. It was the ugliest thing ever, but Avery didn't' seem to care. So all in all we had a great time at the pond. Randy also found some friends as you can see in the picture.

We got back to the cabin with so much we still wanted to do. We started the night out with the craft Jenn brought. We did mod podge! We made blocks that say autumn. It was such a fun craft, and every ones were so different with our own little touches. I hope we make this craft night a tradition. After crafts we had a yummy steak dinner with a little birthday party for Randy and Debbie. We also watched a movie, but of course I fell asleep! What a fun day we had, but it went way too fast! We felt like their was so much more to do, but maybe next year we can stay an extra day.

Avery was so cute all weekend. she loved playing with her cousin Boston. They had so much fun roaming around a new place and getting into everything. She was a great sleeper even though the basement was freezing! Avery loved walking around outside, eating her cookies and carrying her doll around in her shirt(thanks to daddy for that).

Such a super fun weekend we all had. I think we should make this a yearly tradition. Thanks Randy and Debbie!

Random pics

She loves carrying things in her mouth while she walks around the house. It doesn't matter what it is just something to carry along the way. She is just one funny girl.

Her new favorite toy is this card Brett got for his birthday. Its one of those cards that has music. I don't know the name of the song, but she loves it! She carries it around opening and closing it multiple times. You would think I would know the song by now. She starts dancing and bobbing her head. The little things that entertain them! She just loves music so much!!! Just a couple of random things she has been into Enjoy!

Update

This is the dress her birthmom gave her for her birthday. Its still a little big, but its so cute on her. Of course she can't go anywhere without her doll.

On Labor day we went with my family on a nice walk. We went to the Ogden parkway. Its a paved walkway that goes for miles right next to the river. It was such a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors. The kids all wanted to push Avery in her stroller, and of course she didn't mind. She loves her cousins and is so happy when their around. After we went to lunch at the greenery restaurant. We had such a fun afternoon with the family.

Brett is always finding something fun to do with Avery. He made her a superwoman with a cape and all. She loved it, and always has so much fun playing with dad. He is definitely the fun parent and has such an imagination with her.

She loves, loves being outside. She walks the sidewalks a million times a day. She of course has to have her doll to help her along. I love this stage so much. So fun to see her walking and exploring everything. She is loving her new independence. We try to hold her hand to help her, but she won't have it. She is wanting to do it all by herself.
