Sugarhouse Park

Last week we had a play date at Sugarhouse park. Jennah, GK, Bentley, Liam and Isaac joined us for a fun filled day! The sun was out and it felt so good. The kids had so much playing while us girls talked and soaked up the sun. Avery's favorite part was swinging and she even made a little friend who pushed her for me. Such a fun park and so many places to explore. Thanks everyone for coming we had a blast.

I am a big girl now!

A few weeks ago we started potty training Avery. The first week she did so good, and I thought she had it down, but I spoke to soon. She got an infection and refused to go potty in the toilet, so we let that pass and then tried again. So the second time around I was a little nervous that it wouldn't work since she was back in diapers for a few days.

She got right back into it and is always so proud of herself when she pees in the potty. She loves her big girl underwear and likes to show them off to everyone. So she gets the concept for #1, but #2 is a whole other ball game. She hates it for some reason and I hope its just a phase. We are so proud of her! She is just growing up so fast. Potty training is bitter sweet, but we just keep chugging along.

Of course after taking pictures in her big girl panties she found one of her favorite outfits. Its starting to get a little short on her, but mini skirts are in these days!

May showers

Avery had so much fun playing in the rain. I taught her how to play in the puddles. The battery in the camera went out, so I didn't get any pictures of it. Maybe next time since we will probably have a lot more rain! She had a blast and came in soaking wet.

Airborne

Last week we met up with some friends at Airborne. Its a huge place with nothing but trampolines. Avery was in heaven! I tried to get her to stay in the little kid area, but she kept disappering to the big kid area. I followed her and Kristen over there and they went crazy. These 2 girls have no fear at all. They were jumping from the platforms onto the trampolines and giggling so hard.

Little Isacc wanted to hang out by us girls. He eventually jumped towards the end. I didn't get pictures of Kaden or Liam, but they were having a blast. This is my new favorite place, so much fun for the kids. Its only 2 dollars an hour and the best part is they get tons of energy out.

What we have been up to!!

Lately the weather has been so up and down, and that makes all my summer plans go down the drain. I have so many fun ideas and places to take Avery to see, so hopefully the weather will cooperate soon. The few days we have had warm weather Avery and I have taken full advantage. We have been to the park and many walks with Annie..the fresh air is so nice.

One of the first days that it was warm I took Avery in the backyard to have a little fun. I let her get down and dirty, and boy did she! She had so much fun shoveling and raking in the dirt. She even was excited about wearing her new sunglasses..she looked adorable. Its so nice to have a big backyard to play in and explore. She always wants to clean up Annie's poops ,and hopefully that means she will love doing it as one of her chores someday..

Mother's Day was such a nice relaxing day, and that's all thanks to my wonderful husband. He made me breakfast and gave me flowers. Avery was such a good girl all day and gave me lots of hugs and kisses! I couldn't of asked for anything more. I can finally put Avery's hair in 2 pig tails..yeah! The only way I could get her to sit still for 2 seconds, so that I could take pictures was a handful of mm's oh how that works wonders. The other thing that gets Avery to sit still these days is to sing with her. Her new favorite songs are the wheels on the bus, and the birthday song. She loves to sing Happy Birthday to mommy, daddy, grandpa and Annie. I will have to record it sometime its adorable. I love hearing her sing around the house it makes me smile.

That night Brett's family came over for a bbq. Its so funny to watch Jennah stare at Avery in amazement. Avery is loud and sometimes screams or squeals in excitement, and Jennah's eyes get big and she even jumps a little. Avery loves her cousins and always has a blast when they come over. I am so blessed to be a mom to my sweet angel. I am also grateful to all the moms that inspire me to be a better mother.

Easter cont..

After her nap we went outside to get some pictures in her dress. I tried getting her to stay still and pose, but she was not going for it. I loved her dress on her it fit her perfectly! Thanks Grandma Muir for her dress.

We headed down to Grandma and Grandpa's for more Easter fun. We went for another Easter egg hunt outside. She once again couldn't get enough of searching for the eggs, and she got a ton. The Easter bunny sure knows how to spoil them.

She also got her own little basic with treats and an outfit. Boston and Avery were so much fun this year, and most of all it was so fun to see them so excited!

We tried getting a picture with the all the kids, but Avery and Boston were not going for the idea. At least I got a cute one of Jennah. Avery was entertaining all of us like usual. My friend Denise was able to come join us and its always good to see her. What a AMAZING Easter it couldn't have been any better.

Happy Easter

This year was a magical Easter. Avery was so excited when we said come see what the Easter bunny brought. She of course saw her dress right off and wanted to put it on (no big surprise.) She got stickers, play doh, bubbles, Tangled, a little rake and shovel, sidewalk chalk, and of course candy!

She started her Easter egg hunt in the house. She was so good at finding them and got so excited each time when she found one. When we told her there was more outside she was on her way!

She couldn't get to those eggs fast enough. She was running and skipping the whole time. Every time she got an egg she would tell us the color and hold it up for us to see. It just gets more exciting to see them understand it and get so excited. Avery makes the holidays so much fun! After the eggs were all found she was so sad. As soon as we showed her that their was candy in the eggs she was happy again!

What a fun Easter, and we still had another party that night.
