There is never a dull moment when Evie and Stratton come over. They always find ways to entertain themselves. Dancing, playing in the laundry basket, movie and treats..nothing better! Love these kids and more importantly Avery has a blast when they come.

Lindsey's shower

On March 19th we had Lindsey's baby shower. It was a cowgirl theme and it turned out so cute!! We started off by playing the baby food game. You had to guess what was in the jars just by looking at them. I did horrible! Lindsey's sister in law that has no kids won..pretty funny!

For lunch we had tin foil dinner and even drank our lemonade out of mason jars. Lindsey got some great gifts as well. We can't for baby Emma to join the family.

Birthdays

On St. Patrick's Day we have two birthdays Andrew and Wayne. So I invited Jenny's family over for pizza and cake. Evie and Stratton came over a little early to play with Avery, so I could get ready for the party.

The girls got dressed up, so we had a little photo shoot. Stratton was getting the girls to smile and laugh for the pictures..Avery thinks he is the funniest person ever! Stratton couldn't get away without me getting him in on the photo shoot.

The bottom picture is all the March birthdays. Evie-March 13th, Andrew and Wayne the 17th and Brett March 26th.

Jenny made a yummy homemade cake and we finished off with the birthday boys opening there presents. To end our party we played Texas holdem its a poker game that everyone knew how to play expect for Brett and I . I guess we don't get out much!! Stratton who is 7 was an expert at the game and was killing everyone. It was pretty funny to watch..kids these days are so much smarter! Happy Birthday Andrew and Wayne.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Posted by PicasaShe looked so adorable in her green, so I had to have a little photo shoot. The picture of her to the side is a classic Avery look. She knows how to give some good attitude, and I think maybe even that pose could be a start of a modeling career.

Smarty pants!

Posted by PicasaAvery has quite the imaginative mind lately. She loves to get Grandma's books down and read them. She always says mommy " I reading." While she was reading she also took a time out to dance and sing to her music. She uses her little play mop as her prop while she dances. She calls it her flower or kite. Her new favorite songs are if your happy and you know it, head shoulders knees and toes and ring around the rosie..she calls it pack a rosie!
The last week she wants to do everything herself, and if I attempt to help her she gets mad. So I am learning to be patient even if it takes her 10 minutes! She is saying new words everyday and I love to hear what she comes up with.

Emmit Jason Harris

On March 11th my brother Jason welcomed their 3rd child into the world. We couldn't be happier to have a new nephew in the family. He is such a handsome little guy and we love him to pieces.

Avery couldn't come into the room, but she had a great time with uncle Jason. She found the perfect place to take a nap.

Evie turns 4

My neice Evie had her 4th birthday party last Saturday. It was a "Mad Hatter" party. My sister made this cake she is so talented.

Evie was so cute all night. She was dressed up as Alice in wonderland and she looked adorable. I don't know who was happier about the cake Evie or Avery. Avery was cheering when Jenny brought the cake out..she loves cake!!

Evie's face in this is priceless. She was doing the funniest faces all night.

Avery gave her this Strawberry shortcake. She loved it, and she even smells like strawberries.

Here's everyone with their hats. Boy do we have a creative group or what.

Avery loves the tramp that's all she wanted to do all night. I love my camera because now I can capture some pretty funny moments. I love the ones where she is jumping in the air.

Anne was able to be here for her birthday. It was short and sweet, but its always good to see her. We had such a fun night and I can't believe she is 4. We love you Evie!!

Fun in the sun!!

Last week when it reached 60 degrees we had to get outside and enjoy it. We went to a cute little park in Farmington. She had so much fun going down all the slides, but always wanted me to take a turn too. She wanted to climb everything by herself and loved when I helped her do the monkey bars. After the playground we took a walk around the walkway that went around the whole park. Then we enjoyed a little picnic. Now if it could just stay nice, so we could enjoy more days at the park.

Celebrate

Brett passed is math class, and to celebrate we went to Goodwood. We had a great night and Avery was cute as always. Making friends with the everyone our waitress and the 2 tables next to us. She is our little social butterfly.

Love this picture. Daddy got her laughing so hard as always!!

Watching her favorite little video on daddy's phone. On you tube you can put in funny cartoons and they have lots of fun little videos. The one she loves and asks for all the time is called "Gopher broke." She laughs so hard that sometimes it looks like she isn't breathing!! She can watch it over and over and never get sick of it. Its a great way to keep her entertained while we are waiting for our food.

Look how tall she is getting! Her hair is long enough that I was able to get in a ponytail..

She had to get her wiggles out while we were finishing our dinner. She was attempting to climb the rock wall..this girl will climb anything and everything!

Saying hello to the couple next to us.

Don't know if you can tell enough in this picture, but Avery has tons of curls. Its getting longer and more curly and I love it. I hope the curls never go away..my little curly sue!

Family day

We started our next family day with lunch with Grandma. We went to Litza's Pizza in Salt Lake I had never been so I was excited to try something new. Avery always gets excited to see Grandma! We had such a great time catching up and stuffing our faces. Avery loved the pizza and especially the garlic bread. Thanks Grandma for lunch!

That night we went swimming. There is a place in Layton called Surf n' Swim and we have been told forever by locals that we need to try it out. In the winter they put a big bubble over it, so you can enjoy it when its freezing outside. The water was so warm which was nice. So its just one big pool, and every 20 minutes the waves come on. Avery wasn't sure about the waves at first, but daddy warmed her up to the idea pretty quick. They were jumping the waves and having a blast. We topped the night off with a shake at Artic Circle. Such a fun pool I can't wait to go back.

Hill Aerospace Museum

Brett had a few days off work, so we took advantage and had some good family time. We started off with going to the Aerospace museum. We have lived here for a few years and have never been, so we thought it was about time. Avery liked seeing the planes at first and then she got a little bored. She loved running around more, and even more running up and down the wooden bridge. She especially loved sitting in the big airplane chair..I just love that picture!!

Avery wasn't really into the history, but Brett and I loved it. It was so neat to see how far technology has come from the first airplane to now. If your ever up this way its a great place to visit. After we went to Cafe Rio and also had a little cupcake at the Sweet tooth fairy. The best cupcakes ever!!

Best of friends

The last couple of weeks we have been going over to play with Kristin and Kaden. Avery and Kristin are so cute together and they are both 100% girl. They love playing dress up and Kendra and I get a kick from watching what they come downstairs wearing. Kristin is so good with her and Avery just adores her. Kaden and Avery on the other hand just give each other attitude, but that's what you get with 2 year olds. Eventually they will be the best of buds. We love going over there and especially to see little baby Kennedy. We can't wait to go again.

Movie date

Posted by PicasaLast week we had a mommy daughter date at the movies. We went and saw Tangled. We went to the first showing of the day, and there was only one other person in the theater. She loved sitting in a big chair all by herself, and she couldn't watch the movie without her blankie. She sat there pretty much the whole movie, but she had to stretch her legs every once in awhile. She loved the movie and watched it the whole time! It was such a cute show we will for sure being buying that movie when it comes out. I love having dates with my girl.
