Weekend at the cabin!

Saturday the 19th brett, annie and i headed up to my grandpa's cabin. I have never taken brett up there, so i thought it was about time. We met my parents up there and they were able to stay until sunday morning. I have not been up here for so long and i have forgotten how beautiful and peaceful it is. Now that we live in layton it's alot shorter of a drive, so now we have no excuse not to take advantage of it. When we got there we let annie explore while we just sat out on the porch talking and ate lunch. Right after lunch we headed up to christmas meadows as you can see it is so beautiful we took a short little hike, and tried to get annie in the water, but still no luck! my dad was not in these pictures because he cannot do much hiking because he broke his ribs a couple of months ago, and so my poor crippled dad just read and waited for us. We had so much fun at christmas meadows!!!

The rest of the day we spent relaxing reading and the best was taking a nap!!! even brett took a nap and he was out cold! i told brett when we were driving up there that taking a nap at the cabin is the best; i think its because its so peaceful and you don't feel guilty like you do at home because you just have no one bugging you and no worries. After naps we did one of my favorite things is we made hobo dinners and had smores i just love being around the campfire. You can't really tell in the picture of my dad, but he had corn all over his chin what a goofy man he is. After dinner we played games and watched a movie. Thanks mom and dad for coming up with us we had a blast!!

After my parents left on sunday our little family headed up to ruth lake for a hike. This picture of brett is at ruth lake. Everywhere you go in the unitahs is beautiful it just takes your breath away. We are so lucky to live so close to such beautiful mountains!!!

Mirror Lake!!!

This place is the provo river outlook this place is also beautiful with all the water falls. We had so much fun together and especially annie she didn't want to leave. We hope we can go spend many more weekends there i love the outdoors so much i didn't want to leave. Thanks brett for the best weekend ever we needed that time together to relax!!!

Thanks so much for the comment. I am glad to hear you are well. How is the baby thing going. By your lack of posts recently...I bet you probably have your hands full. Congrats on everything!

My adoption story is really long. I am trying to post it on the Oakcrest blog...(hopefully soon).

Hope everything is going well for you. Love Zazu aka Mindy
