Going out for a little jog!

Last night Brett came home from work asking me if I wanted to go running in the morning. Boy was I shocked! I have asked Brett many times if he will go with me, but it seems to never work out. I got a jogging stroller last year and I have been wanting to use it for awhile now. So this morning we got up and started our day off with a nice jog. It was a little cool, but it warmed up nice. I love being outside and enjoying the nice weather! Avery loved it, so I am glad because I am going to be using that jogging stroller many more times.

Reading with daddy

I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago, but I had to still post them. We had just gotten home from going to goodwood for Brett's birthday, and I had Brett take her to get her ready for bed. When I came upstairs I found Brett reading to her that had to be the sweetest thing ever!!! I love watching these two together it brings me to tears almost every time. Brett treasures every moment he has to be with his little girl. Avery loves when we read to her -I hope this means she will grow up loving to read.
Her favorite books so far are a sesame street book called "Bubbles" every time I bring this book at she giggles. The one Brett is reading to her in the pictures is a called "I am a child of God". It has songs like I love to see the temple, I hope they call me on a mission. It has the tune to each song, and she loves when we sing them to her.

Winter Wonderland!

This weekend my niece Ashlyn came to spend time with us. It was so fun to have her here and Avery just lights up when she is around. Ashlyn loves to hold her and give her lots of kisses. I couldn't believe the weather today its almost April and it's snowing!! Ashlyn and I decided to take Avery out to enjoy the snow. All winter long I wanted to get pictures of her in the snow, but I never did. Her snow suit was so big on her it made her look like a big marshmallow!! I didn't love the weather today, but at least Avery got to experience the snow today. Thanks Ash for coming down this weekend we had a blasst!

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday to my wonderful husband. He is 28 today- boy are we getting old!!! I just want to take this special day to make tribute to the most amazing husband and father. I am so grateful to have Brett in my life. As most of you know we have been together since high school, and it has been an amazing journey ever since. I just want to take this time to post my favorite things about him.

I love his sense of humor! He is always making me laugh and all those around him. He is always the life of the party, and making everyone feel at ease. He always has so many funny stories to tell. Every time he tells them I laugh just has hard as though it was the first time I heard it.

Hard worker! He works so hard for our family, and never complains about it. He has always had an amazing worth ethic. I am so grateful for a husband that will work so hard all day and go to school, but will still come home and help with Avery.

An amazing father! Brett has always been so good with kids, and my nieces and nephews adore him. I always knew he would be a wonderful father, and now that we have Avery it is absolutely true! He loves her more than anything and you can tell how he just glows when he is with her. He wants to be apart of everything she is doing, and is always so proud of her when she learns new things. I have always told Brett he will be the favorite parent, and that is already coming true. Watching him with Avery melts my heart every time. Avery is going to have such a fun childhood with having Brett has her dad.

So POSITIVE! He always looks at everything in a positive way. This is such an amazing gift, and I hope this is something Avery will learn from him. He always looks at a bad situation and finds the good in it and what he can learn. I am so grateful that he is here to help me be more positive.

Brett I want you to know how special you are to me and how lucky I am to have you in my life. I can't imagine spending this life without you in it. I know life is busy, but I cherish every moment we have together. I hope you have a special birthday!

Fun Times!

I have started giving avery crackers, and she loves them. I have to watch her because she takes the biggest bite with those sharp teeth of hers. Its so fun to watch them grow and able to eat new things.

Last night we went to Brett's parents house for dinner. It was a big improvement this time around seeing Boston because Avery didn't make him cry. They played so good together, and they had lots of fun. At the end of the night we gave them a bath. They loved being in bath together splashing and playing with their rubber duckies!! Boston squealed so loud that it made Avery cry, so now they have both made each other cry now they are even. I am so excited to see them both start walking and being cute little buddies!!!

Grandma Debbie gave her this bear on the day we finalized at court. She loves the bear, but loves the ribbon even more. Thanks grandma for my bear I love it!!!

Sealing Day!

The Best Day Of Our Lives

Words from Brett:

March 14Th was a special day for our family, it was the sealing and blessing of our little girl Avery. Becca & I have been looking forward to this special day, and it turned out to be just that....special. We couldn't be more thankful for such a cute little girl! She has been such a blessing to our family, and days like this , confirms that families are forever and priceless. We would like to thank everyone that could be there to support us. Thanks family and friends.

Now its my turn to say a few words. Yesterday was a day that i will cherish forever. We arrived at the bountiful temple at 9:45 and from the beginning the temple workers took us by the hand and were so helpful every step of the way. Avery went into the nursery while Brett and i got ready. Brett and I were able to spend some time in the celestial room while we waited to go into the sealing room. That moment was so surreal thinking back to the last time we were in this moment was when we were married. It was so crazy to think after six years of marriage we were here back in the temple getting sealed to our precious daughter. We then went and met our sealer and then we were off to the sealing room. Walking in that room was so amazing and seeing all our friends and family there to support us was so neat. Our sealer was great so funny and very personable. Then the moment came when Debbie brought Avery in she looked so adorable in her beautiful white dress. She was so cute she was giggling and so happy!!!! We were sealed as a family for eternity what a special gift that is. I am so grateful to be a member of this amazing gospel and to believe we can be together forever!!!

Avery was starting to get a little fussy, but as soon as we got her outside and she saw all her cousins she was happy again. We took a few pictures and the weather couldn't of been more perfect. We then headed off to my parents for the blessing and luncheon. Brett gave Avery the most wonderful blessing. He let her know how much she is loved by her parents, family and most of all her birth mom Samantha. Avery was so cute all day and she only had cat naps in the car. She must of known it was her special day and she didn't want to miss any of the fun. I just want to thank everyone who came to share this special day with us. It wouldn't have been complete without all of you there. The day couldn't have been more perfect, and I feel so blessed to Avery's mom. Avery we love you so much! I hope someday when you read this you will realize what a special day this was for our family.
