My little sweetheart

Avery is such a little sweetheart these days. I guess she is not that little anymore.. she is getting so tall and skinny. I found this dress at TJ Maxx and it just screamed Avery to me. She looks so adorable in it, and of course she loves because its a dress.

Avery is such a loving little girl. Lately her mother instincts have already kicked in. She has always loved dolls, but lately she is so much more into it and I have loved watching it. She wraps her dolls in her blanket and sings to them. She hasn't really been interested in real babies until lately. Every time she sees a baby she goes right up to them and says "oh what a cutie." She will talk to them and try to comfort them by giving them her blanket. She is always so concerned when they are crying, and wants to comfort them.

At Jennah's blessing on Saturday she went up to her patting her head and said "you so little." And then Avery put out her hands and said I hold you. It was so cute! Avery will be a little mommy to all her little cousins. She is so sweet and caring always wanting to make sure everyone is okay. She has the biggest heart! She is always giving Brett and I hugs and kisses, and always asking if we are okay. I love this age now if we can just get her to stop growing.

Bike helmet

Lola gave Avery her old bike helmet. She got it on Saturday and has worn it ever since. That first night she did not want to take it off to go to bed. To get her to take it off without throwing a fit we had her put it in a blanket and pretend it was going to sleep..it worked perfect. Right when she woke up she wanted to find it right away. She looks adorable in it, and I guess she will be protected wherever she is. Now if it could just stop raining, so we could take her outside to ride her bike.

Newest addition

Brett's little sister Lindsey and her husband Nate just welcomed little Emma into the world. She was born April 4th and she is so adorable. I wasn't able to see her in the hospital, and not much since then. I was finally able to hold her on Saturday at Jennah's blessing. She is so little and has the cutest little features..she is just perfect. We are so happy for them and most of all to have a new niece in the family.

St. George

Last weekend we took a trip to St. George with our friends. We thought since it was April the weather would be perfect, but boy were we wrong. It was only in the 50's! I don't think I have ever been there when its been that cold. Brett and I went in January and it was warmer than this time. The first night we strolled around old St. George and ate at a yummy Japanese and sushi bar. It was cold, but we had a blast.

We made some time for a little photo shoot. We had so much fun being dorks and taking some crazy pictures. We always have so much fun with these 2 there is never a moment we aren't talking or laughing. After dinner we stopped and got ice cream, and went back to the townhouse to watch modern family.

Saturday morning we were able to meet up with Brett's grandparents for breakfast. We went to the Bear paw it was so delicious!! I got a picture with them, but accidentally deleted it. We had such a great time with them. After breakfast the rain finally stopped and the sun came out. So we took the boys to go golfing while Gaby and I went shopping. After golf we decided since it was still nice to go on a little hike. I love the red rock its so pretty and the view from up there is amazing! The boys showed off their rock climbing skills..my husband is amazing with is spiderman skills and all.

Sunday the boys went golfing again, and Gaby and I did a little more shopping. It was such a nice day, and it almost reached to the 70's. We were so sad to leave, but with the crappy weather and all we had such a good time. It was such a relaxing weekend and it was what we all needed. We are so grateful to have such amazing friends, and most of all parents that are so willing to watch our kids. Avery stayed at Brett's parents and she had a blast like always.

Swimming once again

Last Monday night we went swimming at the Bountiful aquatic center. Swimming never gets old at our house that's because we have 2 fish..Brett and Avery. These 2 could swim for hours and never get sick of it. I thought the water was a little cold, so I took a few breaks. But it never phased them a bit they had a blast.

She loved jumping to daddy and even better taking rides on his back. They also had fun going down the slide. Avery wasn't quite sure about it at first, so daddy went down first to show her how much fun it was..and yes those are Brett's legs poking out of the water!! Good thing Avery loves the water because we will be doing alot of swimming in the summer.

Just because...

Avery loves putting her 2 lips together and making that funny sound that it makes. Getting it on camera is even more funny! It looks like she is giving the kissy face. She does this when she is happy, but also when she is mad at you. So you never know which way its going to go.

In this picture she is growling another one of her sounds. Everyday she is animal usually a cat, dog or tiger.

She can really work it with those lips!!

Avery loves watching me get ready for the day. She especially loves when I put on my makeup. She always is sneaking my makeup and putting on my blush or lip gloss. She always says mommy I so pretty!! and I couldn't agree more.

Bedtime stories

I never get sick of seeing these 2 interact together. She loves when daddy puts her to bed and reads her stories. I love the hands on the cheeks..to cute!! Love my little family.
