Christmas Eve

We had Christmas eve with my family this year. Our annual tradition is our amazing flafels, but this year we changed it up a bit. We got our food catered from O'flafel, and it was so amazing I think its going to be our new tradition. We stuffed ourselves to the max, but boy was it worth it!!

Then it was time for the nativity. Avery was so excited to be in it this year, and I think it was because she got to wear her fairy dress. Brett especially looked cute in his leporad robe!! Its hard to get through the story, but the kids sure looked cute. Little Emmit was baby Jesus this year.

Then the best part of the night arrived..presents! Avery was so into this year she was so excited about opening her present and kept saying oh my gosh!! She got play doh and nail polish from her cousin Evie..they know exactly what she likes.

I also had her open her Christmas jammies..she loved them, and wanted to put them right on. She has some princess jammies that are so worn out, so it was time for new ones. We had a few musical numbers..and then ended the night with frosting cookies for Santa. Avery was so into the magic of Christmas this year..its so cute to watch her get so excited.

We had to rush home, so Santa could come!! Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas party 2011

December 18th we had our annual friend Christmas party. The kids were not interested in eating with us adults they found something more entertaining... They found a baseboard and decided it would be fun to use it as a slide...they had a blast, and luckily no one got hurt. Conner was so good to take care of the little ones to make sure they didn't get hurt. It was so fun to watch all of them playing and giggling.

Oh Christmas tree

Life has been a little crazy with moving into a new house. So I am finally getting to blogging about the holidays. With the craziness of unpacking Avery and I had to find time to put our tree up. She got so excited about putting the Christmas tree up this year, and wanted to do everything herself. I had so many places I wanted to take her to get in the holiday spirit, but with moving it just didn't happen. Better luck next year!

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving was with the Muir's this year. We had a yummy feast and of course stuffed ourselves. Avery loved the mashed potatoes and rolls!!

We couldn't find the kiddos, but they snuck upstairs for some real fun. They went from room to room jumping on the beds. I love hearing these to laugh..they are such cute little cousins.

Grandma Debbie always gives them a neat gift to start out the holiday season. This year they got Christopher pop kins. It is a cute little elf that comes with a story book. They both loved it and Avery has to sleep with him every night.

We had a relaxing rest of the day..the kids napped while we looked at ads.

We ended the night with a few rounds of mexican train and dessert. Such a great Thanksgiving now off to Christmas..so excited!

After naps we got in a silly mood! We had a little photo shoot. After each picture I take she has to look at them. Enjoy!

Rags!

Her blanket is torn up. It has holes everywhere! I have had my neighbor fix it a few times, but it just keeps getting torn. She will not part with it, so this is what we have. This blanket has had lots of love at least!

She can even wear it as a necklace! I finally cut that part off, but now it even looks worse.

I also wanted to give an update on Avery. First off this is her outfit she put on that day. Her pink swimsuit and red bow..she sure knows how to match. At home she does not wear normal clothes her outfits consist of swimsuits or her dress up dresses. She changes about 10 times a day!! She is all girl and I love it.

She is going through such a cute stage. She now has imaginary friends, and they are mostly ones from her favorite tv shows. She first has swiper from Dora, and mean queen from Enchanted to name a couple. When we r playing a game she asks me if they can come play. She will walk a few steps and say "swiper come play with us, and then giggles..then says oh swiper your funny, I love you!! It is the cutest thing ever I get the giggles too!! I guess this is what happens when she is the only child she has to find friends somewhere.

She is still our little performer. She now makes up her own songs and has some of her signature dance moves.

She is a jabber box! She is constantly saying words or phrases that I can't believe she knows. She is so smart! I love everything about it. Her cute little voice, her animations & all the funny things she says to keep us laughing. I need to be better about writing them down.
