Looking back part 2

I also  found these pictures on Brett's phone. I can't believe how much Avery has grown!! It makes me so sad to see her toddler years almost to and end. She is such a happy and fun little girl. She keeps us laughing all the time with her cute little sayings.. This first pic was her first night in her big girl bed.

At Lagoon...that season pass was the best investment.. She loved that place. Hopefully we can get back there next summer.

Brett is always growing out something.. A beard or a mustache!!

I didn't take many pregnancy pictures and now I regret it, but I am glad I found one on his phone.

My poor swollen feet!

Love these pictures of Avery holding Olivia and Owen.. She was so excited and I just love her huge grin!

looking back

These are all pictures Brett uploaded from his phone. It's so weird to look back and see how tiny and fragile they were.. The Nicu feels like it was forever ago, but really we have only been gone for a couple of months. This first picture is of Olivia.. I have forgotten how skinny and purple her skin was. They have come so far!

There first time together..One of the best days! I love how they just knew each other was right there, and they just snuggled.

This was Owen's first day out of the incubator!

One of the very first days. Olivia on the venilatior.. So glad they were not on that very long. It was so hard to see them on it.

Owen was not of fan of being pricked..who would be! I was so happy when tubes starting coming out. Wow they are sooo tough..

Owen loved sleeping on his belly.. I don't know if you can tell but he is smiling!

I loved doing skin to skin..It was such a spiritual experience..precious babies in my arms.

You can really tell in this picture how skinny Olivia was.

The binki over took her face.

She also loved her belly!

Owen always had the funniest expressions on his face, and he still does. Love this little man.

Wide eyed Olivia

Wide eyed Owen!

Olivia's first bath.. She was a fan, but now she loves them!

Owen and Olivia doing the same pose..So sweet!

Daddy holding both of them.

Grandma Debbie holding Olivia

Owen's first day home.

Grandma and Grandpa Harris

We had our first adventure out with the twins a couple of Sundays ago. My mom has been begging us to  come up..she thinks I need a change of scenery..why would she think that?? Brett and I decided if they were not sick and no one else was coming over..then we were up for it.

The twins slept the whole way in the car! They were wide awake when we got there, so they had time to look around at their new surroundings. They even took a great nap at Grandma's! We had dinner and enjoyed the Christmas story in the theater!! I never get sick of seeing that movie. We finished the night off with dessert.

Before we left we had a little photo shoot..Grandpa even wore his Santa hat! Such a fun night and I have to admit it was so nice to get out and do something different. The babies once again slept the whole way home..That night the babies slept a 6 hour stretch!! They must of gotten worn out on their first adventure out..

Gingerbread house

This Christmas season has been so magical so far. A couple of Sundays ago we made a gingerbread house. She was so excited and asked all day when it was time. Finally after dinner it was time.. She was grinning from ear to ear. Daddy helped her get the house put together, and then it was off to decorating. I think she liked eating the candy more than anything! With a little help from us we finally got it all done. Such a fun family night. I love making Christmas traditions. We can't wait til the babies can join us next year.

Olivia

Olivia came home on Halloween at almost 4 months in the Nicu.. She was having a hard time eating she was just not that interested.. But as you can tell now with all her rolls she loves to eat!!

She is such a sweet baby and is all smiles. I get out the camera and she instantly smiles..she is a natural! We are so in love with this little girl she brings such a sweet spirit with her. She went through so much to get to where she is today. We are so thankful for the many prayers on her behalf...she is a little fighter!

This girl loves to sleep! She loves being swaddled, and when she is awake she loves being held. She is so content to just hangout with us.. She loves her brother and soon as I put him by her she gets the biggest smile. We are so in love with her beautiful red hair! Olivia we love you and can't imagine our life without you.
